When Marc Jacobs exhibited his Louis Vuitton S/S12 collection in Paris last September who would have known just how influential it would be.
Actually, as soon as I saw Kate Moss sitting on the show’s magical carousel I really should have known something spectacular was unfolding!

Louis Vuitton’s eyelet cut patterned dresses, collars and jackets are the hottest items in the fashion world right now. Firmly acknowledged by Mr Jacob’s designs appearing on the front cover of no less than seven high fashion publications over the past month alone.

I just adore everything about Louis Vuitton’s S/S 12 collection. Ever so pretty and feminine with a slight nod to the 1950s. The adorable pastel shades of baby blue and powder pink are just divine. The broderie anglaise dresses are a sheer work of art.

Unfortunately I can’t quite afford to but an actual Louis Vuitton S/S12 dress. However, Topshop and Zara’s S/S12 collections have beautifully captured the essence of Mr Jacob’s designs. I bought these lovely laser-cut flower shorts from Topshop this week. To add further texture I combined them with an adorable pastel knit jumper from Zara. A little bit of LV magic on the high street:-)
