XOX POP UP PERFECTION!
As you know XOX launched it’s very first Pop Up shopping event last Friday. And what a fabulous night we had!
There was a great mix of customers all looking to buy a unique one-off design. Maggie’s Farm Dundee provided gorgeous fur coats, sparkly customized vintage dresses and old-school satchels. Art college students and funky professionals simply couldn’t resist and they were snapped up fast.
The Vi Nouveau girls had a busy night with customers absolutely loving their customized vintage clothing range which included gorgeous 50′s print dresses, classic mac coats and beautifully charming pieces of jewellery and designer shoes…just lush.
Customers enjoyed the relaxed shopping atmosphere which was created through the background music of Lana Del Rey and Florence and the Machine. Home baking was served on fine china and bubbly served in adorable floral vintage teacups.
Cheryl Currie, creator of Second Hand Rose Furniture was in hot demand on the night. Her debut collection of customized vintage furniture (including chairs, bed-side cabinets, vanity tables etc.) was a huge success with nearly every piece flying out the door and many customers commissioning Cheryl to design bespoke pieces for their homes.
VG luxury lifestyle products were much talked about. London-based designer Vanessa Galvin’s gorgeous silk eye masks, alphabet lavender bags and silk pillow cases appealed to the many yummy Mummies and pre-exam students requiring some TLC time.
All in all the event was a huge success and projected just how much independent design talent is out there! I am already planning to expand the event with customers eager for more chances to grab a beautiful piece of independent, unique fashion design.
